Adding # to an Oak board bow

I have made an oak bow , it is 72" ttt, 30# @28, My question is: can I cut some off the ends (shorten the bow) and make it pull with more #?
The bow has been shot some, I don't want to add raw hide or sinew, trying not to add weight to the bow. Thanks Ed

chop an inch off each end to start...
you can chop until its like 65". \
Stiff or bendy handle?

Bryce, I don't have the exact dims, but they run about 2" wide down to about 3/8" at the tips. I'm at work and can not measure it until tonight. Ed

Okay. Cut it down to about. 66" ntn taper the last 10-12" of the tips. Steam in 90 deg recurves. And BAM! Fast hard hitting oak bow!
You can use a coffee mug as your guide to make the form :)

Or, glue a hickory back on with some reflex and start over fresh with any weight you want. Plus, cut it down to 66-67 as Brycey boy mentioned.
