If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

i dont have a picture but i am making a quiver out of untanned stiff deer hide of a doe i killed last year. i had sent her hide to be tanned, but they didnt tan it. So i soaked it and then rubbed some water and ash mix and let it hang to make a quiver.

Hi Folks,  Here's a photo of my "every day" quiver.  The leather is just some suede from Tandy  Ronhttp://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc270/May-Pumphrey/CedarDbowandoldpost.jpg

Hi,

M-P, very impressive! How long did you work on that one?

whatareyadoin, I just tried to explain how to make such a harness, but it sounds terribly complicated.  I think I better take some detail photos who explain themselves.
The harness can be adjusted to every size (to wear it as well over a t-shirt or a thick jacket) which makes the building a bit more difficult. A fixed size would be very easy to build.

Radon,  I have to confess that I commissioned the fancy quiver from a friend who does leatherwork on a more professional level than myself.  He spent over forty hours making it.   Ron
