Very torn on this. My last yew stave, Sapwood need thinning but its very clean.



About an inch and a half wide all the way,

Nope!! A good set of billets are easier to find and cheaper than a nice full stave like that one.

Heck no! I'd start looking for some well seasoned billets. They should be easy to find, and much less expensive than a replacement stave of the same caliber.

a good stave like that costs around 150.00 two good billets run about 60.00. But yes you can cut it if you want.
