Sturgeon'd Vinemaple Bow
« on: September 05, 2013, 04:00:47 pm »
Made this one about a month ago, thought I'd share it with you guys.
A friend of mine came to me I retested in bow hunting. He was unimpressed with the bows that had training wheels so I made this one for him. It's a little over built, but that okay for a virgin bow hunter. There was same water damage in one of the limbs a crook in the other and all kinds of swoops and swirled in the wood. But I looked at the stick sitting in the brush pile and I saw a bow and it had to be made.
Anyways....

Thanks Cody :)

The handle was covered in mud when I was talking the pics. Tried to get it cleaned up for the photo shoot ;)
We where climbing hills chasing some elk around.

This bow got dirty, wet, and scratche up. The official stamps if a hunting bow.

Like the character in that bow Bryce, good work. Also kudos to you for gettin' your buddy hooked up with a proper
bow to chase elk with, hope you both have success chasing the critters around.

Nice bow Bryce as usual.  Nice work converting another to the primitive path ;D.

P.S. I have a stave of Mt. Maple to try soon intrigued how it stacks up.... Does Vine Maple dry ridiculously fast like the Mt. Maple?
