That's a beauty!
When you come upon a track or trail you do not know, follow it to the point of knowing.

Killer thin Clovis...u could have nibbled the tip off down to the flute..lol..I kinda think they used relatively flat flakes that they pressure flaked a median ridge and a wide well abraded stout nipple...I've seen a lot of top notch knappers  and several styles of fluting..punch, inderect pressure, jig, and copper bopper fluting..they all work..one tip they all say is to make several preforms first...increases chance for success!!! Great point either way...I'm here in Fort Jackson till tomorrow.. then drive home..sucks..I did Knapp a decent large 12" blade from Argillite but pictures too big to post..

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but first, there were never any Folsom points that large - so who could make one that big? Were you to chip it down to the correct width and length, you would indeed have a nice one. All that said, and probably most important  - that is one heck of a beautiful point and it looks GREAT! It is a fine Clovis for sure - beautiful.

Folsoms are really not big points and modern knappers have "supersized" them (IMHO). Also, a Folsom rarely retracts at the base and usually has parallel sides rather than tapering. Check out some of the length of Foldom casts: http://www.lithiccastinglab.com/ordering.htm
