hickory backed jatoba hill style
« on: August 05, 2013, 07:31:56 pm »
This one  is a bit different than my normal bows. Its a kickory backed jatoba  with tigerwood handle and overlays. Its 64 inches ntn and pulls smooth at 55@28. It was basically a straight glue up with about half an inch of reflex. It lays flat after shooting and returns to just about a quarter inch reflex after rest.  Hill style bows aren't my thing so I gave this one to the neighbor. Thanks for looking. Dave

Sweet. It's nice to see one that turned out well since I just messed up the hickory backed massuranduba I was working on!!

If you'd publish the fact that such things are occasionally given away to your neighbors, ...you could single-handedly improve the property values on your street by 20 - 30 %!!!

Looks real nice.  Lucky neighbor!

The color combinations are really beautiful but I have some questions.  What is a hill style bow, what did you use as an overlay at the handle, what are the limb dimensions?
