I used 2 part epoxy on a V splice about 1.5" long with the osage being the outside. This was my first time trying to splice anything so I was a little nervous about if it would hold or not. I had the joint wrapped with serving and soaked in super glue while I tillered it, then realized I could take quite a bit of bulk off of the joint so I peeled off the serving and rasped the mass down a bit. When all was said and done, I rewrapped the splices with rawhide glued on w tb3 (first time ever using rawhide also) but I left my string wrapped on the rawhide too long and left it a little bumpier than I would have liked. Luckily those dog chew rawhides are pretty thick so I was able to sand it down a bit once they dried. Acrylic paints right over the rawhide then sealed up everything with a spray coat of shellac.
I probably could have taken the levers down in size a bit but was unsure how much more I could get away with because they are ERC. At the size they are at now, they don't cause any handshock and the arrow speed seems pretty good so I am just going to leave as is.
