Very funny.  I use Dawn, and only Dawn :-), to degrease raw hide.  Popular brand of soap, huh?

Actually, I used Ajax liquid, our usual dish detergent. About equal to Dawn for grease & dirt. I found long ago that a lot of the  99 cent detergents did not clean well. May be different today.
