The real "Mullet" bow...
« on: June 07, 2013, 08:13:30 am »
I got this osage stave from Eddie at the Classic this spring, hence the bow's name. I was itching to get into it from the time he handed it over, thanks Eddie! The bow is a solid 50# @ 26", 62" ntn. The tips are Asiatic water buffalo, of the albino variety. The grip is a beaver tail I picked up in Marshall a few weekends ago. The bow has been shot several hundred times and so far so good. It has several laminar and longitudinal cracks filled with glue, plus a few borer holes I left be. Its finished with onecoat of shellac, four coats of Tung oil and Johnsons paste wax for fun. This is the prettiest stick of the King Ive ever used.

Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

Nice.  Hard to beat the simple ones.  Hard to call that one simple with that "Port Hole" in it.  Nicely done either way.

Now that's more like it, PD. Some pics....finally and kudos to your photographer. The model could use some work, though.  ::)

Really....sweet lookin bow, man.
