7/8" dia. sapling . 50" long 30#@26" Hemp handle.  That's it. About 1-1/4" set  after a couple hundred shots through her.  Took about 2 hrs to make , including string and handle wrap. Oh yeah,  natural reflex in one end , the other was introduced.

Sweet little bow, right there. 2 hours has gotta be some kinda record!! ::)

Very nice little bow. Did you sand the bark down at all or leave it full thickness?

The stave  is full width. No side profiling to do . It was as simple as shaving down the belly to tiller it out . The stuff works like butter under a spokeshave and scraper. Sanded  the bark very lightly at the tips so it wouldn't abrade the string ,and sanded the edges to smooth the transition between bark and belly.Quick coat of bees wax. Quick wrap for the handle.Done. Lots of fun shooting in the shop! This was some experimenting ,for the trade bow.............................

Nice bow.

Cut last fall. Shaved it down, gave her a bit of heat while I was recurving the one end, and left it in the Truck a couple afternoons when we got some hot weather. If I hadn't tortured it , I think it would have taken less set.
