Where did you get your bow scale and what brand?
« on: May 21, 2013, 09:58:11 pm »
I am looking for a bow scale but cant seem to find one anywhere.  Bass pro was out of them and I looked in a local archery shop and they didnt have any either.  Just wondering what you guys use and where you got them.

Thanks

I bought a Hanson Hand Held which I attach to the tope of my rope and pulley and hold in my hand. I like it because the weight registers and stays so I can read it easily. Jawge

I think mine is a 100# or 110# viking spring scale.  Got it from my favorite place, Craigslist.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

So you can look right down at your hands and see the weight? That would be real nice. I think I will have to get one of those. I got an old 300# game scale now and not much use really.

Get yourself a large round analog hanging scale. You can see it easily while tillering. They're a dime a dozen on eBay.

Thanks for tips everyone!  I just bought one of the round analog scales as suggested by adb on ebay.  It was 19.99 with free expedited shipping so pretty reasonable.

I use a 500lb round game scale that I weigh deer and hogs on. I'm not looking for extreme accuracy. Just general weight. Within a few pounds is plenty close for me.

I just realized I didn't answer either question. haha. Its a GameWinner brand from Academy Sports. It was with a kit with ropes and pullies and a game hanger. I don't remember how much but it was cheap.
