So I'm building bows having the same draw and weight 28"  50#.... What shaft size is best for say Fir, poplar and such.
Is 11/32  the norm..? ???

I use 11/32" Douglas Fir on my 50-55lb. bows. Good choice for dowel shafting...There are many variables and different opinions but I think this is the norm for diameter.
