Here a fun little unit I put together last fall and have used on many a bivouac and outing since.

"Walk softly, and carry a bent stick."

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through him."  Col. 3:17

Oh good lordy!  Now I want one of those with a spiderweb pattern on the leather frog!

AAARGH!  Why is it everything you do causes me to covet it?!?!

Thanks, fellas.  :)

JW: I'm impressed somebody out there knows what a frog is!

Stoker: I'm not sure of the steel.  I didn't make the head.  I simply rescued it from a life of rust and dis-use :)

Exactly how I carry my hatchets and small axes!  It makes it sooooo much easier to sit down!

nice design and good harness stitching!
when i'm working on things my ancestors worked, singing the songs my ancestors sang, dancing the same dances, speaking the same language, only then  I feel connected to the land, THIS land, where my ancestors walked for thousands of years...

If I had to chose between a well sharpened knife and a well sharpened hatchet/tomahawk to carry in the woods, then the knife would come in dead last.
