Raw, unfiltered bees wax in TN
« on: April 08, 2013, 04:47:07 pm »
Im going to have a TON of raw bee's wax with me at the Classic, maybe 25-30# worth. It is complete with wings, antennas, honey, dirt and grass! I can always use RW feathers, 50# plus shafting of any sort, skins or rawhide. Please run me down if you want some. Bees wax make the best strings. It can be easily cleaned up if you melt it and pour it through a screen of sorts. Then pour it into cupcake cups. I use it as is and have no issues.

Thanks

Are you going to be at Marshall?  If you have any left, I'm  looking for some (a little).  Don't know what I have anything that you'd want or need but who knows... some bamboo perhaps...

Sounds good. I need to snap a pic so we all know what it looks like. If youve ever cleaned hives out and melted the wax to seperate the honey youve seen what I have. Dirty on side, cleaner on the other.

When are you coming in Pearl ? If you get there before it gets to busy we can melt some down and clean it,I have done before but it's been a while,I actually mixed a little parfin with mine and made it a little softer after it set and not quite as sticky. I trade you out of a little, I can come up with something I am sure. :)

I will be there Wednesday afternoon Pappy. Charlie wants to play with a bunch of it before it gets too busy as well. I have enough to go around for sure. Plus, I have 2 1/2 boxes of unused wax combs that can be melted down with the rest, its pristine clean still.

That was my plan Pappy.  Got a big box of sap here, kind of soft, but it will boil down.  I am sure we can find some sawdust around there to put in it right?
