"Blackthorn" black walnut self-bow (pic heavy)

Solid black walnut self-bow I made last Fall. I got anxious and worked it a bit too early and as a result it took a couple inches of set on each limb, but it still shoots nice! I forget the exact measurements, but I think it is about 65" and pulls about 45-50# at 28"
The thorns were created by leaving 1" sections intact from the sap-wood down to the target ring. After floor-tillering, I carved them into thorn shapes and then finished up tillering. I was also pleasantly surprised to find the large knot in the bottom limb as I roughed out the stave. Just left some extra wood around it and hoped for the best and so far, so good.
