Yessir sawfiler - I believe you just increased my stave count by about a third ;D. That did make one handsome bow.

Excellent job...now thats what I'm talking about. you resurected that knarly ole piece of osage and look at it now. I love the copperheads too it really fits the bow. Yeah I like the ealier suggestion that one should be named "snake eye".

Looks like you used every ounce of bow that was in that stave. Great job, should be a deer slayer.

That snake  is honored to be on such a well made bow.  Be a good riparian whitetail hunter. Looking forward to seeing your bow during Oct Self Bow of the Month consideration.

Very impressive to get a recurved bow out of that stave! You've definitely got talent! ;)

Great looking bow.  What is the brace height?  Justin

Thanks for the compliments fellas. I wasn't gonna post it but now i'm glad I did.  I really like making short bows and for some crazy reason, most of the worst stave's I work on make some of my best shooting bows.
It seems like the knottiest most crooked ones in the pile always seem to have the best looking rings and color ???
Be thankfull for all you have, because no matter how bad you think it is...it can always be worse.

Those knotty crooked staves will teach you more about building bows than a straight clean stave. Apparently you learned very well. ;)     Pat
