R/D Hackberry Bow...(kinda)
« on: March 04, 2013, 07:16:14 pm »
Heres a piece of crapberry...ehemm...I mean hackberry....42@26"....61" ntn....14 ounces mass weight....dyed hemp wrap handle...jicarillo tip overlays...and the handle justs starts to bend right at an inch before full draw..has a lil bit of prop twist..it has an interesting side profile that I just went with it...its slightly setback in the handle then has deflexed kinks at the fades, then reflexes all the way out to the tips...its a smooth fast shooter for its low weight and has a well above average cast....I seriously thought it was at least over a 50 pound bow until I just weighed it before posting...I might give it to my wife as it would be her weight at her draw and a good length for her. if it doesn't fit her maybe itll end up on the raffle table at the classic

Sweet!! 8)

That has a wicked cool look to it Chris, especially that front profile with the wide twisty limbs and narrow tips. That deflex out of the
fades would of messed me up big time if I were trying to tiller that one. Looks like you handled it well and got a really nice and unique bow for your efforts. Cool bow  8)
