Osage Eastern woodland. 50#@30"
« on: February 17, 2013, 08:36:10 pm »
Just finished this up for a feller' from Oklahoma.  Its a simple eastern woodland d-bow 60" ntn  50#@30" (I'm only drawing 28" in the pic) .  Its 1 1/8" wide at the handle and 5/8" wide at the nock shoulders.  Diamond fineals and I put a small arrow head at the arrow pass since the guy that ordered it wanted some way of locating his hand.  Of all the bows that one can make, these eastern woodland d-bows are by far my favorite.  Not just to build but to shoot.  Anyway, thank you to my daughter Teresa for taking the pictures and thanks for looking! Josh

Nice tiller work Josh.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

SWEEEEEEET!
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

Awesome little bow. Those short bendy handle ones are fun to make. Thanks for sharing!

I like that one Josh, got a real authentic look and a sweet bend too. I'm drawn to the eastern woodland style bows also and that is a
really fine one you made there. :)

Nice bend on that one, Doc. Good job!!
