I know this may b a silly question  and I have been out of bow building for a few years but what is this a person place or thing?

Here is the original piece that people designed whole bows around.  An entire bow was later found which confirmed the entire shape, more or less.

A bow design named after the town where it was discovered, characterized by stiff unbending levers at the tips and often an unbending handle. Modern interpretations push the limits of the original design making the lever to working limb ratio more and more lever
