cheers i have just given the right abit of a scrape in the middle. i havent done any on the left outer half yet as i hadnt seen slimbobs msg. does it look any better

Ya.  Much better.  Might take Pearl Drums straight edge to both limbs and see what you got.  Outers still look a bit stiff to me.

Ok here is the final product all shiny. the final tiller was 58@28, 64" t2t. Zero hand-shock, quiet and pretty smooth, I really enjoyed this White Oak/Molly combo and plan on making myself one of these immediately. The inch and a half of set after a good amount shooting disappears when unbraced for half an hour. However I think I'll take your advice Ryoon and narrow the tips on the next one, I couldn't quiet bring myself to narrow these any more (I know! I'm a weener!). I hope whats-his-face up north likes it as much as I did. I'll sign it and send it out by Friday;)

Well this was plan A and is still a work in progress.  It's a tri lam hackberry walnut ERC with spliced in sycamore levers Molly.  ~58" currently pulling around 47 lbs at 25", hoping to get to 26" and 50lbs, not sure I'll make it.  I glued it up with some perry reflex and it sits with just a touch of follow after unbracing.  My issues with it are the likely of coming in just under weight and the thinness of the belly lamination.  I left the walnut core too wide and have a very thin ERC belly.  Might retry this design or go on to plan B.




Bottom limb also looks hingey in this picture, but it didnt on the tree.  Not sure what's up...
