Glad I was part of this trade, and also happy I got mine done early. The time does go quick. Good luck to those who are struggling with the deadline, and the ones watching the front porch.

4th coat of true oil is drying, string is made. All thats left is a couple more coats and a handle wrap. Should get it shipped sometime next week.

Coaster, I hear you.  I've been watching this bow trade for 4 years and I do believe this group of bows is the most outstanding yet.  I've had to put on my game face, just to see the bar.

Well finally got my trade bow done and ready to ship slowly but shurely and im really happy with the way it performs! I hope its new owner enjoys it as much as I have I have about 300 shots out of it. Here are some pictures before I get her packaged up and shipped I will probably have her shipped Thursday but I will confirm when I drop her off at the post office. It is a Oceanspray  with flipped tips, heat treated 45# at around 27 28"

Sweet looking bow for sure. I finished up a bow tonight for the other swap I am in. So I can really get focused on the one here. I have a few folks coming up on Friday to learn to make some bows talk about the blind leading the blind but I know a bit more then them but only a bit.

Should be able to really crank out this bow at that time. Nothing like a group to help get you focused and working.

Nice bows everyone.

a few pictures of the finishing touches I put on "Brothas".  Named because I made this bow from two yew pieces that came from different trees and have a different color to them but are working nice in harmony (How pleasant it is to the Lord when brothers live in harmony. Psalms 133:1).





albino water buffalo horns from Thailand and a Burmese python also from Thailand.  If I remember right I got this skin from the snake farm that is a tourist attraction.  The guys there save me some skins from ones that don't make it.


If you see a rather short package at your door step next week, I may have had your name.  Going to shoot a bit more tomorrow and put another coat of finish over the artwork.  There is artwork on the bottom limb too but if I showed it the person would probably know it was for them.
