Time to post some progress. Finally got this one to tiller, it's a hick-backed-osage elb (not following 5/8 rule though). First for me. This may or may not be my trade bow, depending on how it works out. I glued in some perry reflex. She's a beast to get strung. I didn't have a string long enough, so just stuck a rope on at "zero" brace to get a looksee.

I have no idea what the weight is so far. It feels like 80+ (if i yanked all the way to my cheek, which i couldn't

)but i expect she feels deceivingly high. On the wall before she flipped sideways i got about 35# at 15" with the nylon rope).
At first it looked like the upper had a hingy area about 10" from the tip, but the circles seem to indicate she's fine (I zoomed in and the curve of the circle follows the back almost perfectly):

The inner thirds on top and bottom look a touch stiff to me, which means they are a lot stiffer than they look given the low brace. Any comments on tiller are welcome!
