Yew bow ELB`ish
« on: January 17, 2013, 02:06:07 pm »
Hi all,

This is a yew bow i have had near finished for a while now. I need to tweak the outer limbs a bit but since needing to do this I have been laid up with stinking man-flu :( So have all the family so its a painted red cross on the door and just waiting for the call of "bring art ye dead"  ::)

Anyways its been an age since i made an elb so very rusty indeed. It was so hard to get out of the flat and short mentality and into the rounded and loooong.

Its 70 something long and about 60 at 29. Cant seem to drag it out much further as I cant seem to nock up out that far, yet.

Anyways some pretty pictures to pass a few minutes until I can man-up get out there and do a money shot.

That is a fantastic all the way around.  Great work on the handle wrap/arrow pass combo, too.  Very classy.

Beautiful, as always! I really like the little touches on the handle.
"The way of heaven is like the bending of a bow-
the upper part is pressed down,
the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."

Nice... but whaaaa there are spots of water on your your bow :o whaaaa (runs round in circles shreiking)
I like the clever balancing the bow on the arrow shot... I may have to 'borrow' that trick O:)
Cunning leather grip/arrow pass too.

Nice bend, so far...hope you feel better soon so we can see the full draw!!
