osage with a few knots

This stave came out of a 5" log that was a twisted mess. Almost 180 deg of prop twist. A few big knots to work around. 1" at the handle built up with leather with a shelf out of a marrow bone my dog cleaned for me. Around 1 3/8"  tapering down to 3/8 at the nock. Wenge tips. Tiller is not perfect but this is the best shooting character bow I have made. Next to none hand shock it is a pleasure to shoot.

 Very nice bow Paul, Love the dog leg. Sometimes hard to see the tiller with dog legs like that but you nailed it.

Great job on that piece of sage Paul, the full draw arc is right on. Is that some osage you rescued from becoming firewood by your new found friend? ;)

No, but it was about to go in the chipper about a year ago. Saw tree trimmers as I was driving and pulled over. That is how I get most of my stuff.
