Whitefeather - I second what Pappy said.  We'll help you and you'll learn a lot, just the same.

Cracker - Miss Heather woulda been disappointed if you didn't show!

I'm with white feather.  I think I'm gonna get to go this year.  My event coordinator (aka the wife) says the schedule is clear that weekend.  I'm gonna bring a bow or two of my own and hopefully build another one while I'm there if I can.  Maybe I can find some 'sage there.  As of yet I'm sageless but I hear it makes an okay bow  >:D

Hi Kid Bow you can go either way buy or trade I've seen many staves given away I'll have some well seasoned hickory, and I like to trade generously. Ron

Kid, if you get in the SELFBOW CHALLANGE you buy a stave from Twin Oaks and with the help of lots of good bowyers you build a bow over the weekend. On Sunday everyone in the Challenge shoot against each other for trophies. This is about the best opportunity for a new or relatively new bowyer to get help from some of the best. You will learn more that weekend than your brain can absorbe!  ;)
