Rounding edges for rawhide?

My current Osage cas a very flat back to it. I'm curious as to whether or not I should round the edges slightly for when I rawhide back it or just leave them as they are. Thoughts?

Round is stronger than square. I prefer rounded edges, pea size. I blend the rawhide in with a sanding block and it looks nice.

why backing osage? violated rings?
When ever rawhide backing: first glueing on and then rounding egdes, this is much easier

No violated rings, but when I first chased a ring, it checked pretty bad and I had to go down a few more rings to get a clean ring. I'm going for a high draw weight, so I'm backing it just for peace of mind.
