Your bows always amaze me.  I look at the unstrung pictures and have no idea how you get that perfect tiller! Amazing!

AWESOME BOW!
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

Nice! Great tiller! Every time I see a guy drawing a bow like that I am expecting to see a turd laying on the ground!

Good to see your stuff again, I get much inspiration from it. Very nice bow, never mind it is straight and knotless! But it's HUGE, I assume your cousin is, too :) And cool heartwood, was this a branch? I never get heartwood on stems of that dimension.
Good your back, hope you get a more relaxed year 2013.
Don't shoot!

Another good one, Druid. Sweet bend as usual!!

Thank you very much my friends... I am glad that you liked this bow and some of them missed me. I have in my plan to make a bunch of the bows this winter.  ;)
Width of this bow is 1 1/2". Maybe it looks wider at photo but it is because of the angle.
8/5 rule fits great if bow is proper tillered and long enough. As some master said (badger is one of them) longbow could be less strained if tillered good than some wide flatbow that mismatched tiller.
Shaun, I will make some better photos of the nocks tommorow if weather allows, it is ugly wet snow here.
This was sapling, almost a branch. I found them great for this purpose beacuse their natural traped back and low physical weight of the finished bow.
