..."a nice conversation piece if anything"....huh ???   Please explain  8)

You know me....picky, picky, picky. Im my own worst critic. Its a good shooting osage flatbow. Took on very little set so far, maybe an inch or so.

Nice job.  It would take me that long just to do the handle.  And I can't play the drums either.

Thanks all. Im not hating this bow or anything like that, its a fine bow. Im not sure how much I like the physical weight is my only gripe. The lower half with the brass sleeeve weighs 15 oz. My digital scale doesnt go high enough to measure the upper limb with the steel sleeve. My guess is the whole bow is in the mid/upper 2#'s range. Most osage bows are a pound or so.

I have built a few of them and I like the physical weight, makes them pretty stable for me. :)

I think that mass in the middle of a bow is no big deal. Sweet one btw.

I will shoot a few hundred arrows through it, who knows? It may end up on the Post looking for a new home?

Thanks for all the kind words guys, Ill get her finished up in a day or so. Thinking about a good ol' Tru Oil finish. I have urethane dipped the last dozen bows or so and kind of miss the smell of Tru Oil in my shop.
