Osage for a friend.
« on: October 02, 2007, 06:15:03 am »
Here is a bow I built for a friend in Mic. it is 51 @27 68 tip-tip and 66 1/2  n-n. 1 5/8 at the fades
to mid limb and then tapered to 3/8 at the tip.It has 20 year old Osage tip overlays and shoots great.I hope he likes it.Like a lot of the Osage I have had lately it had a hump in the mid part of the top limb and made it tough to tiller, done the best I could and keep the weight he wanted. If it had been for me I would have cut it down about 4 inches and think I could have got it all out but he wanted it 68 so it will have to do. :)It has a little character but he didn't want much, can't
figure that one out but to each there own. :)

Very nice bow Pappy. It is a bit long for the draw length but if that is what he wanted then
