Anybody know of a build-a-long or some information on a 2 piece bow, using the hinge method. I have some ideas but would like to find out more about it before I actually start.

I thought about making one myself, but the hinge is like $90 so I used a sleeve instead. I tried to come up with another cheaper hinge, but didn't find a suitable substitute. Sorry, but I'm sure one of the guys has done it successfully. Dale

I am making a primitive take-down atm. I have opted for the handle sleeve like that of "Fiddler49" (

).
So far its looking good and ill post the results soon. Wrapping the raw hide when soaked in glue was messy, but I have learned a few things in the process that will make the next one easier. My version is with billets, so I have to tiller after the handle is done (which is were im at now).
Cheers

I'am familiar with the sleeve style. As far as a hinge goes I was looking around Home-depot but found nothing of any use. I'm sure there are Hardware stores which have hinges of equivilent strenght as the ~connexion hinge~ and Much Cheaper.
$90.00 bucks that's a little steep.
