Met MadCrow Saturday
« on: November 04, 2012, 02:12:32 am »
First Off, Thank you for the awesome experience Eddie! I had a blast, in total awe at the things Eddie has the ability to make. Eddie showed extreme Patience in answering my newbie questions and explaining things. We joked,Laughed and time flew by. When the sawdust settled I had cut 9 self nocks myself out of the dozen shafts he had already spined for my bow and had waiting. I must say my first 9 self nocked shafts were not perfect,well.......let me be honest they were not even decent, but I had fun doing it. The generosity of a man I just met completely blew my mind. I left the Crow's Nest with a lot more items than I arrived with.

I'm glad you enjoyed it Matt.  I had a blast too.  These hobbies are always more fun when you have someone to share them with.  Just think, that was just arrow making.  We haven't even got to making bows and knapping, making peacepipes, lots of bone work, etc etc.  Don't worry, I will try not to get you too overwhelmed.

I am looking forward to the future sessions. I think the bone work will be a favorite of mine.

You will learn much grasshopper
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!
