The stave had natural refleks in the handle. Wytch elm. Its 53 " ntn. Pulls out 50# at 20". It's stacking a little from 20". I hope the bow can manage 22-23" but thats the limit I think. I'm afraid of cracking. Two layers of sinew. I think thats ok, but  I'm afraid of the belly. Funny bow.  :D

Should be good for at  least 26 inch draw... The stacking is probably a combination of rapid rise in weight due to the profile and  your  nerves.
 There is little reason to bother backing an Elm stave unless you're going to ask it to do something extra.

 :D it 's the nerves. Yes indeed. :-) Maybee I reduce the drawweight a little. 50# - 21" is "overkill" :-)

:-) I have no trouble with 62#. Dont'worry :-) But I think the bow maybe is to stiff in the tips. I think I'll have to reduce the tips a little. What do you think? The bow is stacking at 21"   :o

It will feel like it is stacking even more if you reduce the tips as you will have an even worse string angle problem. It will likely drop some pounds so that it feels like it's stacking less at 20.
 However if you draw it back to the point where it actually is stacking, it will stop even more abruptly.
