I went to pullin ground cover out of the wife's flower bed (grumble, grumble, grumble!) and out popped a knife handle I had started working on a couple years ago. My dog had made off with it when my back was turned and I never could pin it on her. So I buffed it up and fitted it with an obsidian blade before she could find it again. The turkey leg has a piece of Georgetown that I had heat treated. Sure slicked it up and made it easier to work!!

Bubby, if you let them turkey legs dry then spray them with poly they make purty good handles. A friend of mine showed me how to use deer antler to cap the end. They look even better if the spurs are longer

George, I sure hope it works out this comin spring. That would be fine with me!!

WOW! I like em both, but am really luvin that turkey leg. I happen to have a couple of turkey legs out in the garage, so how do you attache the antler cap?

I hope I didn't make it seem like a big secret. I just cut a piece of antler to size and then sand both flat. I use tbIII to glue them down and then shape it up and sand smooth after it dries. It's really simple to do. I just never thought about it till I saw it done.
