Pyramid oak bow

Figured now after hundreds of arrows through it i might aswell post it up.

This is just my 2nd bow so its not perfect but it shoots great.. any criticism welcomed

Red oak
68" ntn
Limbs are 3/8" thick
Fades 2-3/4 to lil under 1/2 at tips
pulls 45lbs at 28"
Leather grip
Flemish string i made. And also the first string i served
2" of set, which is sadly better than i expected

Bow is unbacked and i plan to keep it that way.. would be really boring looking unless i did artwork or something over the backing since theres so much "area" to cover.. this bow will be shelved soon to ensure a long life as my first successful bow.. first one shot great but was a poor choice of wood.. small pinhole in limb killed it

 

 

 

 

Edit: heres the best "wide" pics i can do with a phone. Im still messing with the brace height any recommendations? Its 6.5" from back of handle t the moment

We'd love to see a side profile of it unbraced, braced and at full draw! Looks great so far.

Didnt even think about side prifile pics. Ill get a braced one tomorrow. And a full draw if i can have soneone take a pic. Thanks for lookin.

I updated first post with a few more pics.. excuse the messy work bench. I have no shop or garage so most of my tinkering is here in the bedroom.. no im not married hahaha so ive stilk got a little freedom in the room, im only 21. Just recently moved my 2nd workbench to the back porch for bow work. Full draw pics to come soon

the one on tradgang? I used the overall dimensions. But skipped the glued on recurve tips. And thinned the limbs cause my board did not want to bend right. Only thing i wpuld change is the handle size. It works but feels cramped.
