I tried working on my gift last weekend  but the materials I had on hand didn't work the way I wanted them to, OR I couldn't make them work the way I wanted them to.  haha  SO, I ordered materials that will work (a clue--3" and 4" dia. bamboo)  GRIN

I plan to make a couple of these items for myself, also and a friend or 2.  More clues--this item is produced commercially in a plastic version.  But, I REFUSE to use the plastic ones with my primitive bow.

I didn't get in on this trade due to prior commitments, but I have to comment on Bub's war club. It is so fine you ought to send some guitar strings with that "axe".  ;D
