Short, plain, & nasty

Hey fellas,
      A while back I received a real nice (and big) Timber Rattler skin from hrhodes so thanks to Howard. Looked at it for a long time and this is the bow I come up with.
      The bow is Ash backed Elm, 50 inches ntn, and 63#@26". Took 7/8" of set. The bow is kinda long for me but I didn't want to waste too much skin. Anyways wanted to say thanks to Howard. The timber was large enough to do this bow in one piece and have 2 strips 1-1/8" wide X 56" long left over.
      On the arrow pass side of the bow I named it "Timber Rattler's deadly kiss" nothing in the way of fancy, and hey, please dont say nothin about how come I'm about 1/2 to 1" short of the regular draw length......I'm sneekin up on it, kinda ::) (may need to get the scraper out)

Beautiful shorty,very nice tiller and I always love Timbers. :)

Nice job as always. your shorties are amazing and the timbers look great. I have'nt gotten any rattlers cuz they don't grow around here but just backed one with copperheads. Might have to post that one. Anyhow once again good job.   Danny

Thanks Pappy, Dan.....I might have to drop the weight just a little cause it's about all I want for sure. Dan, we dont have any poison snakes here in Michigan either (I guess they got got some Mississauga's around but never hardly see any of them) That's why I was tickled to get this one from Howard.
    The Eastern NA's was real amused as how the early whites was really scared of Timbers and Eastern D backs, so I thought a NA bow with this skin was pretty cool.

Tiller looks great and those skins make for a mean lookin shooter!!!

I am a little worried your gonna pop a blood vessel though???

Thank you for the comments fellas. Coaster, all I can say is ya gonna get old someday too >:D. Keenan, I know that sounds funny but most of my personal bows are 48/49" and you cant believe how many times I knocked stuff off the bench flippin that baby around in the shop ;D

Just saying...

Found myself in desperate need of a short bow with weight. Called on Rich and man
did he deliver. Pics and posts are coming but let me just say that halfeye makes
short bows that are killers, blood on the ground, killers.

Thats awesome Rich!! I too laughed at the  "it's a little long for me" statement. 50" a little long he says. 63# to boot, I bet that thing sends an arrow down range in a hurry. Nice work my friend!
