Talk about a character that bow is loaded with individuality, looks awesome from every angle and profile. Good call on going with the shape and not heating at all. That unbraced side profile is pure and natural primitive bow, another great bow  Blackhawk. You sure make em' nice man.

Thanks Fred...I dug them out with a small broken tipped screwdriver...the wood inside them was soft n rotten. And after I dug em out I shot some super glue down inside them...that's how I do staves with holes

Thanks eric...yeah you know it was a $#!$# to chase a ring on with those big lumpy raised knots,even if you do follow the grain right they still wanna tear out on ya....it actually wasn't too bad tillering,I think the ring chasing was the toughest,and I like chasing rings and can run down a ring pretty quick,but that one did test my patience if I remember right
