I have yet to send out my bow.

I have received one from MissleMaster.

Believe it or not, when I was out of town, my solar panels got hit by lighting.
Thus preventing me from being able to use my heat gun for necessary (minor however) alignments. Steam isnt really an option, as the bow is rawhide backed.

Ive had to start over...
It never is easy is it.
Not to be telling you your business, but you can oil the area and wrap in tin foil and use a propane flame to heat for bending.  I saw some guys using butter and doing this one time, it smelled like Jiffy Pop and they put in a really tight bend with no problem.

The other thing you can do, is simply send on the bow you got if you don't think you can make another in a decent time frame.  I know this was done on another trade like this that we did several years ago.

I did not look closely before at the list - but I know that Rob Widen has received - as I was the one to send to him.  He posted photos in one of the bow trade threads.
