Hi All,

Another Sinew Backed Yew. 42" Long 65lbs @21.  Painted with Earthen Pigments, rabbit fur tips.

Got some good character too, some big old bumps gave me a bit of trouble, but came out lookin nice.

Paleoninja, that bow is a very nice bow.  Did you use fish air bladder glue on this one?  I am working on one right now that is 40".  I would love to hit the 65# @21" mark.  It seems this one is not reflexed much (excluding the recurved tips), is that right?  Well done.  Nice ishi style full-draw pic too.

OOOhhh, that's a nice one. Love the artwork, too!!

Hi Guys, Thanks a lot.

CMB- I used a Mixture of Fish Bladder Glue and Elk Sinew Glue, which has become my Norm.  The Fish Glue is the Best there is, but the Sinew Glue is very Similair and Costs 1/100th of the amount.  You are also right that this bow only has a slight reflex to it, about half an inch, not including the recurves.  I only went for light reflex because I knew I was going for a heavy weight bow so I wanted to remain Stable/Safe.

Thats amazing work, 21" draw on a 42" bow and a whopping 65# and it all holds together and looks beautiful to boot.
I also have to comment on the Ishi style draw, very fitting for that bow. Great talent shown on that bow.

I think you did a great job! I would like to see more bend in the handle.
But if it holds up don't change a thang! What every you did worked!
Kudos!!!

Very nice bow, great decoration on the back.  In taht first pic it looks like theres a couple of scooped out areas, is that where the wood wasn't straight and you were keeping the thickness constant or is it just the way the pic looks?  If so, how did you scrape out those areas?
