Mini rock run with the kids

Went on a short rock run for Some Uvaldes gravel after work and this is what we picked up on a gravel road a few miles From the house



An my knapping pit I just built my umbrellaed mesquite tree.

Good job looks like some good rock.. That is a heck of a tree.. Could you imagine the story's it could tell...

Mostly browns the cool thing about uvaldes gravel is u I ever know what color it will be or how workable it will be some have fractures all in it, some have small geo's il break a few tomarrow and post some picks  :)

I got a load of that off the road down your way. Then i found where the county was quarrying it thus the honey hole :). Spall it, cook it, makes some tough points..
When you come upon a track or trail you do not know, follow it to the point of knowing.

Ohh yeah fordice is a few miles from me I could order a truckload but that takes the fun of gathering myself :) this is some pretty hard stuff uncooked you have to have perfect platforms or it will step fracture on ya

Thanks for the pics Sterling! That is some good looking rock. Hmmm...... If I could get a tri axle load of knappable rock delivered, I would be hidden in the pit by all that rock >:D
