That bend is about as perfect as it gets. Now you've done it Rich, gone and got that boy addicted. He's definitely a natural and having a master to learn from is a real plus.

Thanks so much for the nice comments, Ya he's really proud of it. It aint perfect and has about 1" of set but it shoots hard and quick.

Forgot to say he does have a name, and yes Tyler pics up stuff real quick. But I think the best part is actually knowin a young man that would rather fish and hunt than play video games. The bow is going to get finished for sure, just wanted to try and get pics while he was still workin on it so later on he would have a rememberance. Will post pics when he gets it all done.I guess the plan is a hand grip wrap and clear oil finish. Think he's gonna join up on the site too, when his mom gets to it.

Ya, he's allready got the second set glued up....a elm backed elm.

Good on ya, Rich!  Thrilled to death to see the young folks carrying it on.

Buckshot:  Now that's a mighty fine bow you've got going there!  Great job!  Now, practice - practice - practice.  Then make some meat this Fall.

Can only agree with the others, even with an expert tutor that is an excellent bow! Well done!
By the way..if he pulls 62# now, what will he do when he is fully grown up?...Just cut a tree and string it? ;)

I agree.  A very nice bend on that bow, and good tutoring from a very talented bowyer.
Happy hunting to all!
