Build-a-long recommendations

Hello all,

I'm very new to the game with just one (not so great) bow under my belt. I have read and enjoyed the "poor folk bows" build along and I was hoping to get a few recommendations on some others with equal amounts of detail. I spend a lot of time searching the forums here but many of the threads are very specific. I am about to start roughing out my second bow and I am trying to decide what shape to give her.

you can adapt alot of the build alongs on here to your needs (with in reason) if you focus on the technique of the builder and not so much on the particular design or materials. Thats how i learned a little from this build a little from that one

It's a pity that section is so utterly cluttered with small questions that should have been asked in this "bows" section. Nonetheless there are some excellent build alongs buried in that section.

Don't forget PaleoPlanet! There's some great build alongs there as well.
I've also really enjoyed this build along.

For sure, the build a long section has a lot of helpful material on bow building and other things I find fascinating. I learned a lot from these guys and gals that are willing to take the time to share their knowledge.

Hey Simmental, with that user name I expect a lot of bull from you.  But I don't have a beef with that.  We can just steer clear of problems.  (I can imagine those that do not know what a Simmental is having a cow over my remarks!)

Whatcha got for wood?  Some woods are pretty much good for anything, others pert' near good for nothing.
