sturgeon backed chokecherry

I havent posted any bows for a while, I finiched up a bow I had been working on for a while. it is chokecherry backed with sturgeon skin, 62" ntn, 45#@26" limbs 1.25" tapering to 3/8"tips which have horn overlays. I dyed the back black prior to applying skins which allows the irradecence of the skin to show better, I then dyed the entire bow black. wrapped the ends of the skins with burgundy and ivory embroidery thread then soaked thread with superglue, finish is polyurethane. tan leather handle and strikeplate with burgundy stitching.

You've outdone yourself Dave. I love everything about this bow, the contrasting colors, the scales along the back, and the perfect tiller. Just fabulous!
