Guys, thanks! George, no video yet, but I will have to shoot that at my club. I did put the crossbow through it's paces at the NEPSG. Here are two shots of it in action.




There are a few tiny tweaks to make to it, and then it should perform flawlessly. I need to deepend the bolt grove slightly, lower the string a tiny bit so it is just touching the top surface at brace height, and then call it a day. A bunch of folks shot it, and it held up well.

Del, I use 125 grain tips, about 14 inches long, shafting from 3/8" oak dowling. I need to mess about with tapered shafts, and use only two fletching, that is following historical practice, and was pretty much universal across medieval Europe. Not sure of the overall weight, but I am still learning the art of bolt making, something comporable, if not as onerous, as arrow making  :D
