rock run beware
« on: May 21, 2012, 05:35:21 pm »
JBeware rock runs are fun but can be dangerous. Not sure how deep it went into my foot but I felt it for sure.  Scott it was the other foot in case you were wondering.   This was point up and I steped right on it and thought I had a thorn in my shoe till it bumped a limb as I was putting my foot down.  Lucky me it got my attention before I put all my wt on it.

I think you posted the wrong pic. Otherwise, if youre suggesting you stepped on Isaac...

Ahhhh! Thats makes more sense! (although, I would prefer to step on Isaac.) So does this means back to the Doctor?!?

Here's my haul yesterday.

Man I got real lucky.  I did not want to take the shoe of till I got home.  Not a scratch on my foot but it went right through the shoe with no problems.  I really had god on my side this time. I was a long ways from the truck.

Did you save that point? if so, haft that sucker up and use it.

Stone age caltrop!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Sure wish I did not have to haul it on the back.  Why is the best stone always 1 mile from the truck.

Maybe it and bow wood have a deal going. Always a long way away and uphill to the vehicle.

Iowabow !  That thar is a neolithic "caltrop" trap.  That could have ended any significant walking permanently!  Thank God you didn't catch the full force of that.

I once had to climb over the remains of an old farm shed.  Stepped on an old nail and the whole board came up with my foot.  Shoe was filled with blood.

That rock has a story to tell. I don't know how old it is ,but its there some where in time. I would kinda like to know. Interesting find!
