« on: May 16, 2012, 04:21:50 pm »
Lost my impetus here.  Any interest?  I have boo, maple, and Ipe belly  Static recurved tips with two wedges to get deep bends.

I'll try to get a pic up.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Actualy I have two.  One has "flats" in the R/D design.  I was aiming for a R/D bend inteh handle recurve...  The wood softened and sucked down to the form in places I didn't want.  I'm sure it will still shoot.

then the above one.  I was just looking at it and realized that I may have left my maple core too thick.  It will be high draw weight I think.

Flat spots in the glued up form you mean? When we make stave bows alot of the times a funky flat spot - twisted form etc stave will end up coming around to a beautiful tiller, so I would not worry about no flat spots myself. Just deal with em on the tiller I guess?
