A New Bow For The Wife
« on: May 14, 2012, 08:57:24 pm »
I finally finished this one up for my wife over the weekend. I roughed it down to a bow blank last oct. to let it cure n season faster as it was cut in august last year. Shes just a target shooter and will never hunt,so i made her a dandy target bow for her. Its a black locust andaman-holmgaard,63" ntn(as tall as she is ;) )..30@24",weighs only 12.4 ounces, purpleheart over osage tip overlays, stitched leather handle wrap, its mildly snakey and she wanted it au natural with no skins or dye jobys, and it has 3 1/2" of reflex at rest,1.3" at the fades  to 3/4" where the working limbs end and almost 1/4" tips. Its fun to shoot and surprisingly quick for a 30 pounder, and shoots well for her accuracy wise. anyways ill let the pics do the rest of the talking....
