7 DAY ITCH
« on: May 06, 2012, 06:20:05 pm »
Just in time for my turkey season tomorrow a.m. 60" ntn, 53# @ 27". The skins are diamondback and tips are black cow horn. The string is an 8 strand D10 with muskrat silencers. For an unbacked bow with minimal starting reflex it REALLY spits and arrow. I left it a touch wider at 1 11/16" and Im glad I did. Its very stable and easy to shoot. As you can see my skins dont match. They did when the scales where on, but PRESTO the top limb got light and the bottom limb got dark after the scales came off. Oh well, details as such arent something I concern myself with too much. Durability and shootibilty really matter in my book ;)..........Thanks for looking.

Another nice job, PD. I thought you already had your turkey bow? na na na na (twilight zone music) ;D

I had five turkey bows lined up Kenny...........you know how that goes. I got bored and NEEDED a new one. Thats the cool part about building your own weapons. I dont have to convince my wife to let me spend any money when I want a new bow every two days. Aint life grand!

I think you have time for 2 more turkey bows.  That way you have one for every day of the week.

Sweet job on that one.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

You busted my cover Jawgey! I made that handle up a few years ago and never changed it. I post my ugly bows under that alias!
