woodland boo backed osage
« on: April 21, 2012, 12:14:37 am »
i really like this design ,the way  they bend in the handle and the way they shoot so smooth, can't help it.  cherokee , creek, yuchi, and probably some other eastern tribes all seem to have pretty much the same design with certain preference's in nocks . i copied a some yuchi style nocks (small diamond nocks) from a pic i saw, other than that i can't see to much difference in them.
1-1/4'' throughout  up to the last 10'' then tapers to 1/2'' ,61-1/2'' ntn 40" @ 26''  . she shoots great and held a little bit of reflex i glued in ,came in to light for a trade bow i have another in the works ;) i haven't been building alot lately so it may take a couple to get back into it.

Now that bow is tillered PERFECT. Ya, nice!
"The way of heaven is like the bending of a bow-
the upper part is pressed down,
the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."

Yup, nice tiller, I bet that baby would come back to 28" and then pack a nice punch.
Mind I think 40# is a good comfortable weight for shooting all day.

Very nice bend right there. My favorite style, got to believe that the performance is way above a "regular" 40# bow too.

Nice job. I never get enough of bendy handle bows. I bet the performance is nice with the BBO.

Very nice retro for a proven style bow.  The Eastern Woodland style bows are one of my favorite styles. You nailed the tiller. Very nicely done, sa.
