Ross- yeah its a matter of working limb, especially with this one b\c it is so short. I started making them with much more gradual fades but over time i have thinned them more and more. in fact i really dont like to see bows that have long rigid handle areas. i prefer to see a steep transition between limb and grip as opposed to a longer, flat no working portion in the bow. i really like it if i can accomplish making the bow appear to bend through the handle even if it does not. just a case of different strokes for different folks
this is the best i can do for a picture of what i dont like without finding someone elses bow and saying "i dont like this" cuz thats not nice or supportive..lol but this is the 2nd bow i ever made and you can see the grip extends out further and doesnt work. also adds weigh. thats like those big risered recurves they have out nowadays..lol cant stand em.
